Photos from the flashmob that took place in Newcastle city centre this afternoon. The flashmob was a part of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists’ Giving Voice Campaign.
Individuals with a link to the SLT community, be it professionals working in the service, those receiving intervention or just family friends were encouraged to turn up at midday at the monument with banners or speech bubbles describing what SLT, language or communication means to them and display their messages for 2 minutes before dispersing.

It was great to see so many people turning out for this event and also impressive how much work many of them had put into their banners.
I must also add that I was not the official photographer and do not wish to profit from this event in any way other than by seeing the profession I have trained in flourish.
