Northern Rock Cyclone Criteriums 2011, Leazes Park Newcastle Upon Tyne

Photos from the annual criterium event held in Leazes Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne. A great evening of racing finished off by an action packed Elite criterium where a group of 5 riders managed to gain a lap on the main bunch resulting in major headaches for the commissaries! In the end all but the 5 riders were eliminated with 3 laps to go, leaving the way clear for the small but select group to battle it out for the win. Team Endura’s Ian Wilkinson was the eventual winner, winning by a convincing margin from Alex Dowsett and 3rd placed Dean Downing.

Fort William MTB World cup 2011 #2 – 4X Finals

Photos from a extremely exciting 4x final at Fort William.

in the mens event Roger Rinderknecht took 1st place from David Graf having miraculously avoided the chaos brought about by Joost Wichman crashing on a big drop and his bike flying across the course, taking out World Champion Tomas Slavik.

In the women’s event Britain’s Joey Gough showed great form, taking 2nd place behind The Current World cup leader Anneke Beerten.

The Brits also excelled in the womens event, with Tracy Moseley taking top honours and Rachel Atherton taking 2nd.
